Mon Premier Bébé - Le Miracle et L'Epreuve- Sépare 1
(My First Baby ~ The Miracle and The Ordeal – Part 1)
I shouldn’t have said it’s an ‘ordeal’ to getting’ a baby..right? Yes, it’s a blessing, but since I still can feel the traumas and bits of odd fuzzy feelings of the hospital blues; makes the word seemed to be perfectly in place..(for me of course..)
I was hospitalized for a month; 5 days in Intensive Care Unit; coma.
The doctors did mentioned about my slender chances of living – by sending my family to pray.. right before I was strolled into the OT.
But, avoir mon bébé qui beau, I do thank GOD for letting me to live ‘encore!’.
I wouldn’t expect you guys to believe me. I, myself - can’t deal with that fact just yet.

6 March 2007
The Ordeal Began..
I was on leave- for my antenatal check-up; which was set in the evening. Mon cher went to work, leaving maksu and me the chance to chill out at home; like two lazy, fat anacondas.
Mama and abah were at my sis’ place- since there was nobody to look after mama ( she was oddly sick) after returning home from UK two weeks back. Sometimes she was down with fever - and there were time she got disoriented ; mumbling over weird things and thoughts. Ugghh.. pretty scary sebab abah said she was very sick right after visiting the ancient Scottish castle while they were in UK.
And mama was suspected to have dengue fever then.
It was later in the afternoon when I felt a slight of uneasy feelings coming thru my body. Thought it was normal for my condition. You know..My pregnancy had reached 36 weeks and it was like sooo exhausting at all times. Syima and I got ourselves 2 sets of McDonalds burgers while waiting for mon cher to get me to the clinic.
Right after my check-up, I felt like fainted. Thirsty, we went to a kedai mamak nearby and had air kelapa instead. My head was spinning hard. We head straight home and I dashed to lie down right away.
My Goodness.. I was DEMAM! My body felt so sick and heavy. I was worried – was it a normal fever? Or was I infected from mama? Dengue fever? Will it affect my baby??
Later that evening, mon cher sent me the HUKM’s O&G emergency – where the doctor confirmed that I was seriously got down by dengue fever. My platelets ware counted to be 58. I was admitted right away.
And the ordeal began.

This is my first time being hospitalized – since…all my life!
‘God, I miss mon cher so much.. What is he doing alone at home..?’
Doctors and nurses came and go. Wires.. drips.... and ‘hands’ tucked into my body..
‘These fellas are going to make me deliver this baby very soon..’
‘Abangg…Nak balikk…’
There goes my first night in the hospital..
